OSHA Hazard Communication Training

OSHA Safety Tips and Training OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 covers the Hazard Communication (Chemical Right-To-Know) requirements. The new standard requires training for employees that work with hazardous chemicals by December 1st, 2013. This education and training will provide instruction in: general Right-To-Know information, chemical hazard concepts, chemical hazard terms and language, chemical classifications, proper labeling requirements, personal protective equipment requirements, using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and emergency spill, leak, and injury procedures. (Training Time - 1hr)

 

OSHA Lock-Out / Tag-Out Training

OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.147 requires the control of hazardous energy during the servicing and maintenance of machines and equipment, where unexpected energizing or start up of the machine, or the release of stored energy, could cause injury to the employees. Documented education and training (both initially and annually), of all personnel, that would be classified "Authorized", Affected", or "Other", is required. This education and training will provide instruction in: review of the Standard and its appendices, basic electricity and it's hazards, recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control, purpose and use of energy control procedures, lock-out/tag-out procedures, types of tags, and warning devices, and periodic inspection and notification requirements. (Training Time - 1hr)

 

Personal Protective Equipment Analysis and Implement Training

OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.132 requires the appropriate selection and proper use of personal protective equipment. Protection against workplace hazards, through the proper use of appropriately selected personal protective equipment, is emphasized in this education and training session. This education and training session will provide instruction in: background, and requirements of the Standard, results from lack of compliance, demonstration of correct usage, eye (safety glasses and goggles) and face protection, and chemical resistant clothing (gloves and aprons). (Training Time - .5hr)

 

DOT

 

DOT HM-126F Training

DOT Standard 181 CFR 172.702 - 172.704 covers the Hazardous Materials, and Hazardous Waste requirements. This standard requires training for employees that work with hazardous chemicals, and hazardous waste materials. This education and training will provide instruction in: unloading hazardous chemicals from common carriers, safe handling of hazardous chemicals, and hazardous waste materials, storing hazardous chemicals, and hazardous waste materials, identification of proper hazardous material waste codes, and emergency (spill, leak, and injury) protocol. (Training Time - 1hr)

 

OSHA Material Handling Training

All employees who operate industrial forklift trucks must be trained and certified to meet the OSHA requirements found in 29 CFR 1910.178 (1). This newer regulation was promulgated and required of industry in March of '99. This course is designed to qualify authorized operators and requires a written exam. This education and training will provide instruction in: types and use of powered industrial trucks, qualification of authorized operators, safe operation of vehicles, vehicle inspection and maintenance, start-up and operations, hand and power controls, lifting and lowering loads, vehicle load requirements and center of gravity, movement of hazardous chemicals, and incidents and emergency procedures. (Training Time - 1hrs)
